SuperTracerLite

Overview

SuperTracerLite is a lite version of SuperTracer. It is a freeware. SuperTracer is a tracer and a reader for J2EE, Java EE, logging system.

• It provides source code level tracing facility: a single mouse click will show the source code and the line in question will be marked and highlighted.
• It provides syntax highlighting for easy reading.
• It support SuperLogging and native server logs.
• It provides both simple search and Regular Expression search, for both search down and up.
• It provides filter to select the log records you want.
• It provides Redress facility for rectify log method argument list.
• It supports both SuperLogging and native server log files.

SuperTracer supports the following J2EE, Java EE, application servers:

• JBoss: open source 4.00
• JOnAS: open source 4.3
• WebLogic 8 - 9
• WebSphere 5 - 6
• Universal

Super is platform neutral. it has been tested on the following platforms:

• Linux: RedHat 7.3, server 3
• Linux: SUSE 8 (kernel  2.4.19-4GB) (IBM xSeries)
• Solaris 7, 8 and 9 (Sparc)
• Windows 2000, XP

How to run

NetBeans plug-in version

Click on the icon or SuperTracerLite menu item on the Tools menu.

How to use

Install and uninstall

NetBeans plug-in version: Install

From the main menu > Tools > Update Center >

Select Install Manually Downloaded Modules > Next.

Click on Add button

Then follow the GUI program.

NetBeans plug-in version: Uninstall

From the main menu > Tools > Module Manager

Select SuperTracerLite, the click on Uninstall.

Other plug-ins for IDEs are:

• SuperEnvironmentLite. It is free. It is an open source software.

Note for porting

SuperTracerLite is a self-contained, modular application.

I installed SuperTracerLite for Weblogic 8.1. Now, I want install it for Weblogic 9. How to install it?

Go to your home directory and delete tracer.properties. The next time you run SuperTracerLite, it will allow you to install it.
