Known Issues
General
- JavaHelp may or may not show pages nicely on JDK 1.2
due to a JavaHelp bug. Workaround: resize the help window. The bug is
fixed on JDK 1.3. Should that bug reoccur, please resize the help window.
- The default database (HypersonicSQL) is for demonstration only.
Java 5 (JDK 1.5)
Super (the client, not the server side) should run under JDK 1.4.x. If you
want to use Java 5 (JDK 1.5.x) you need to:
- Manually recompile and redeploy SuperLoggingEJB. The jar file is under beanbox
directory. The file name is <applicationVenderName>SuperLogging.jar.
For example, weblogicSuperLogging.jar.
- Download xalan.jar from Apache and put it at the end of your CLASSPATH.
- Use Java 5 on both client side and server side.
Super (the client) will support JDK 1.5 when J2EE server vendors use it on
the server side.
IBM's Java
Context sensitive help may not always work at the beginning. This happens when
IBM's java is used (Websphere requires IBM's Java).
The version we checked is:
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2)
Classic VM (build 1.4.2, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM Windows 32 build cn142sr1w-20041028 (JIT enabled: jitc))
Workaround:
- Open any panel (window), press F1. You will see the index page.
- Click on any link on the page.
- Close the help window.
- Now, context sensitive help will work.
