Menu Commands

New workspace: Displays the Workspace Panel. A Workspace Name Panel will pop up for you to specify a name, before a Workspace Panel appears.

Favorite: Displays the Favorite Panel.

Preference: Displays the Preference Panel.

Query manager: Displays the Query Manager Panel.

Run example: Displays the Example Panel.

About: Displays version number and license information.



Access URI Panel

This panel allows you to specify access URI.

Access URI: The access URI.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Advanced Query Panel

This panel allows you to specify advanced search criteria and start search. Only the related GUI components will be shown for selected target. So when target changes, this panel changes too.

This panel is inherited from Structured Query Panel. Please see Structured Query Panel for related GUI components.

Target: This is the target type of record. All targets are self-explanatory. The only term which needs explain is Mine. Mine is for searching all objects owned by you.

Organization key: The key for the targeting organization.

Specification: This is a Summary box showing all specified specifications. Unless otherwise specified in Find Qualifiers, this is a logical AND, and a match on all specified Specifications qualifies as a match for this criterion. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel. The list panel is for:

External Identifier: This is a Summary box showing all specified external identifiers. This is a Collection of ExternalIdentifier objects that provide an external identifier for the object using an identification scheme such as DUNS. It is analogous to an identifierBag in the UDDI specification. Unless otherwise specified in Find Qualifiers, this is a logical AND, and a match on all specified ExternalIdentifiers qualifies as a match for this criterion. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel.

External link: This is a Summary box showing all specified external links. This is a Collection of ExternalLink objects that link the object to content outside the registry. It is analogous to an overviewDoc in the UDDI specification. Unless otherwise specified in Find Qualifiers, this is a logical AND, and a match on all specified ExternalLinks qualifies as a match for this criterion. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel.

Source object ID: This is a String that represents the ID for a RegistryObject that must be the sourceObject of the Associations that match. This parameter is ignored if specified as null.

Target object ID: This is a String that represents the id for a RegistryObject that must be the targetObject of the Associations that match. This parameter is ignored if specified as null.

Association type: This is a Summary box showing all specified Association Types. It is a type of Concept. This is a logical OR operation across the collection. This parameter is ignored if specified as null. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel.

Confirmed by caller: If true, provider must include Associations involving the caller that have been confirmed by the caller. If false, provider must include Associations involving the caller that have not been confirmed by the caller. This parameter is ignored if specified as null.

Confirmed by other party: If true, provider must include Associations involving the caller that have been confirmed by the other party. If false, provider must include Associations involving the caller that have not been confirmed by the other party. This parameter is ignored if specified as null.

Scheme name: This is a String that is a partial or full name pattern with wildcard searching as specified by the SQL-92 LIKE specification.

Concept path: This is a canonical path expression, as defined in the JAXR specification, that identifies the Concept.

Search: Searches the registry and displays result on Workspace Panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Association Panel

This panel inherits from the Registry Object Panel. See Registry Object Panel for more information. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Association Type: The association type for this Association which is a Concept in the AssociationType ClassificationScheme.

Source object: The RegistryObject that is the source object of this Association.

Target object: The RegistryObject that is the target object of this Association.

Is confirmed: Indicates whether this Association has been confirmed completely.

Is confirmed by source owner: Indicates whether this Association has been confirmed by the owner of the source object.

Is confirmed by target owner: Indicates whether this Association has been confirmed by the owner of the target object.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Basic Query Panel

This panel allows you to specify basic search criteria and start search.

This panel is inherited from Query Panel. Please see Query Panel for related GUI components.

Target: This is the target type of record. All targets are self-explanatory.

Name: The name pattern of the name of the target.

Case sensitive match: Indicates whether or not the search is a case sensitive search.

SQL LIKE match: Indicates whether or not it is full name pattern with wildcard searching as specified by the SQL-92 LIKE specification. See Brief information about SQL database LIKE search for more information.

Exact match: Indicates whether or not the search is for exact string match.

Soundex match: Indicates whether or not the search is a Soundex search. Note: your system may or may not support Soundex.

Search: Searches the registry and displays result on Workspace Panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

By Key Query Panel

This panel allows you to specify basic search criteria and start search.

This panel is inherited from Query Panel. Please see Query Panel for related GUI components.

Target: This is the target type of record. All targets are self-explanatory.

Key: The ID key for target service of organization. This is an exact match, no wildcard.

Search: Searches the registry and displays result on Workspace Panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

By Name Query Panel

This panel allows you to specify basic search criteria and start search.

This panel is inherited from Query Panel. Please see Query Panel for related GUI components.

Target: This is the target type of record. All targets are self-explanatory.

Name: The name pattern of the name of the target. This is full name pattern with wildcard searching as specified by the SQL-92 LIKE specification. See Brief information about SQL database LIKE search for more information.

Search: Searches the registry and displays result on Workspace Panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Classification Criterion List Panel

This panel inherits from the Criterion List Panel. See Criterion List Panel for more information.

Classification Criterion Panel

This panel allows you to specify search criterion for Classification.

Locale: This is a Combo box which allows you to specify Locale. If nothing is selected, it will be the default locale.

Scheme name: The name of the Classification scheme.

Classification name: The name of the Classification.

Classification value: The value of the Classification.

Browse: Displays the Taxonomy Panel, which is a taxonomy tree allowing you to select the above data.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Classification Panel

This panel inherits from the Registry Object Panel. See Registry Object Panel for more information. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Classification scheme: This is the scheme used in classifying the object.

Concept: This is the Concept that is classifying the object.

Value: The the taxonomy value for this Classification.

Is external: Indicates if this is an external classification.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Classification Scheme Panel

This panel inherits from the Registry Object Panel. See Registry Object Panel for more information. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Children concepts: This is all immediate children Concepts.

Descendant concepts: This is all descendant Concepts.

Value type: The value type for this object. The value type describes how taxonomy values are defined within the scheme.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Classification Value Panel

This panel allows you to specify classification value.

Classification value: The value.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Concept Criterion List Panel

This panel inherits from the Criterion List Panel. See Criterion List Panel for more information.

Concept Criterion Panel

This panel allows you to specify search criterion for Classification.

Locale: This is a Combo box which allows you to specify Locale. If nothing is selected, it will be the default locale.

Scheme name: The name of the Concept scheme.

Concept name: The name of the Concept.

Concept value: The value of the Concept.

Browse: Displays the Taxonomy Panel, which is a taxonomy tree allowing you to select the above data.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Concept Panel

This panel allows you to specify Concept.

Children concepts: This is all immediate children Concepts.

Classification scheme: This is the Classification Scheme that this Concept is a descendent of.

Descendant concepts: This is all descendant Concepts.
Parent: This is the parent Concept or ClassificationScheme for this object.

Parent concept: This is the parent Concept or null if parent is a Classification Scheme.

Path: This is the canonical path representation for this Concept.

Value: This is the value (usually a code in a taxonomy) associated with this Concept.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Criterion List Panel

This panel is the base panel for all search criterion list panel.

Detail: Displays a criterion panel for the selected criterion.

Delete: Deletes selected criterion.

Add: Adds new criterion.

Close: Closes this panel and remember the layout and size of this panel, so next time this panel will be in the layout and size remembered.

Declarative Query Panel

This panel allows you to specify Declarative search criteria and start search. Note: your system may or may not support Declarative query search.

This panel is inherited from Query Panel. Please see Query Panel for related GUI components.

Query type: The type of the query.

Query: The query.

Search: Searches the registry and displays result on Workspace Panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Email Address List Panel

This panel inherits from the Object List Panel. See Object List Panel for more information.

Email Address Panel

This panel allows you specify Email Address.

Type: The type of this email address.

Address: The address.
 

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Exception List Panel

This panel displays all exceptions from the search.

Detail: Displays Exception Panel.

Close: Closes this panel and remember the layout and size of this panel, so next time this panel will be in the layout and size remembered.

Exception Panel

This panel displays detail information about the exception.

External Identifier Criterion List Panel

This panel inherits from the Criterion List Panel. See Criterion List Panel for more information.

This panel allows you to specify search criterion for External Identifier.

Locale: This is a Combo box which allows you to specify Locale. If nothing is selected, it will be the default locale.

External Link Criterion List Panel

This panel inherits from the Criterion List Panel. See Criterion List Panel for more information.

External Link Criterion Panel

This panel allows you to specify search criterion for External Link.

External URI: The External URI.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

External Link Panel

External URI: The External URI.

Linked objects: This is the collection of RegistryObjects that are annotated by this ExternalLink.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

External URI Panel

This panel allows you to specify external URI.

External URI: The external URI.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Favorite Panel

This panel displays favorite records which were bookmarked on Workspace Panel. There is only one favorite for each registry.

Detail: Displays a panel for selected records. The type of the panel will depends on the type of record.

Delete:  Deletes the selected records from this collection. It will not affect records on the workspace, nor in the registry.

Remark: Displays Remark Panel for editing the remark.

Save: Saves this collection.

Close: Closes this panel and remember the layout and size of this panel, so next time this panel will be in the layout and size remembered.

Find Qualifier Panel

This panel allows you to select attributes for Find Qualifier. Find Qualifier provides various constants that identify options that effect search behavior. A JAXR provider may silently ignore any qualifiers marked as optional.

Attribute: The available attributes.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

International String Panel

This panel inherits from the Manageable List Panel. See Manageable List Panel for more information.

Locale: The locale.

Value: The value.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Note: If Submitting enabling is set to false, both Delete and Add buttons are disabled.

IsExternalPanel

This panel allows you to specify value.

Is external: Indicates if it is external.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Localized String Panel

Locale: The locale.

Value: The value.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Location Panel

This panel allows you to specify the location for WSDL.

WSDL location: The URL for the WSDL.

Ok: Confirms the location and displays Webservice Object Panel, then close this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Name Pattern List Panel

This panel inherits from the List Panel. See List Panel for more information.

This panel lists all name patterns.

Name Pattern Panel

This panel allows you to specify name pattern as a search criterion

Name pattern: The name pattern.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Name Workspace Panel

This panel allows you to specify a name for the workspace.

Name: The name.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Object List Panel

This panel is the base panel for some list panel.

Detail: Displays a criterion panel for the selected criterion.

Delete: Deletes selected criterion.

Add: Adds new criterion.

Close: Closes this panel and remember the layout and size of this panel, so next time this panel will be in the layout and size remembered.

Note: If Submitting enabling is set to false, both Delete and Add buttons are disabled.

Organization Panel

Child organizations: All immediate children Organizations.

Descendant organizations: All descendant Organizations.

Parent organization: The parent (container) organization.

Postal address: The postal address for this Organization.

Primary contact: The primary Contact for this Organization.

Root organization: The root organization.

Services: All children Services of this Organization.

Telephone numbers: All telephone numbers of this Organization.

User: All users of this Organization.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Path Panel

This panel allows you to specify path.

Path: The path.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Person Name Panel

Full name: Full name of the person.

First name: First name of the person.

last name: Last name of the person.

Middle name: Middle name of the person.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Postal Address List Panel

This panel inherits from the Object List Panel. See Object List Panel for more information.

Postal Address Panel

City: The city.

Country: The country.

Postal code: The zip code or postal code.

Postal scheme: The postal scheme.

State or province: State or province.

Street: The street.

Street number: The number of the street.

Type: The type of this address.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Preference Panel

Connection factory class: The implementation class name from JAXR provider.

Essence: Indicates if you want see essence information only, hiding non-directly related information. It will affect the following panels: Service Panel, Service Binding Panel and Specification Link Panel.

Hide UDDI: Hides all UDDI related menu items. It will take effect when Super restars.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Query Manager Panel

This panel allows you to manage queries.

Query: Lists all saved queries.

Rename: Displays  Rename Query Panel for editing the name of the query.

Delete: Deletes selected query.

Close: Closes this Panel.

Query Panel

This panel contains common parts of all query panels.

Query name: The name of the query.

Open: Displays a JFileChooser window for you to open a saved query. The query files which match the type of the queries will be shown on the window.

Save: Saves the query. It displays a JFileChooser window if no name have been given.

Save As: Displays a JFileChooser window for you to save the query.

Registry: This is a Combo box showing all available registries.

Edit: Displays Registry List Panel for you to work on registry list.

Registry List Panel

This panel inherits from the List Panel. See List Panel for more information. This panel lists all registries.

Add: Displays Registry Panel for adding a new registry.

Edit: Displays Registry Panel for editing a new registry.

Delete: Deletes selected registries.

Registry Object List Panel

This panel inherits from the Magageable List Panel. See Manageable List Panel for more information.

Note: If Submitting enabling is set to false, both Delete and Add buttons are disabled.

Registry Object Panel

This panel is the base panel for all RegistryObject. Not all GUI parts apply to all objects. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Name: This is the name of the object. Note: The name may be in more than one languages. So this is a Summary box, showing all names in all languages. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel.

Key: This is the unique key for the object.

Description: This is the description for the object. Note: The description may be in more than one languages. So this is a Summary box, showing all descriptions in all languages. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel.

Associated object: This is the collection of RegistryObject instances associated with this object. The detail button on the right displays detail list panel.

Auditable events: This is the complete audit trail of all requests that effected a state change in this object as an ordered Collection of AuditableEvent objects.

Classifications: This is the Classification instances that classify this object.

External identifiers: This is the External Identifiers associated with this object that are external identifiers for this object.

External links: This is the External Links associated with this object.

Registry packages: This is the Package associated with this object.

Submitting organization: This is the organization that submitted this RegistryObject.

Registry Panel

This panel allows you to specify data for registries.

Registry type: The type of the registry.

Name: The name of this registry.

URL: The URL of this registry.

User name: The user name accessing this registry.

Password: The password associated with the User Name.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Remark Panel

This panel allows you to input or edit your remarks. Remarks is for your convenience.

Remark: The text of your remark.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Rename Query Panel

This panel allows you to rename your query.

Query name: The name of your query.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Service Binding Panel

This panel inherits from the Registry Object Panel. See Registry Object Panel for more information. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Access URI: The URI that gives access to the service via this binding. Default is a NULL String.
Specification links
: All children Specification Links.

Target binding: The next Service Binding in case there is a redirection from one service provider to another service provider.

Validate URI: Indicates whether to do URI validation for this object.

Consume: Displays the Webservice Object Panel for consuming this Web Service.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Note: if you checked Essence on the Preference Panel, some of the items are hidden.

Service Panel

This panel inherits from the Registry Object Panel. See Registry Object Panel for more information. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Providing organization: The organization that provides this service. Providing Organization may be null. The providing organization may be different from the Submitting Organization from RegistryObject.

Service bindings: All children ServiceBindings.

Consume: Displays the Webservice Object Panel for consuming this Web Service. Note: the Webservice Object Panel will show up if there is only one Service Binding with this service. If there are multiple Service Bindings, an error window will pop up. In that case, you need to click the brows button right to Service binding and consume Web Service on the Service Binding Panel or Specification Link Panel.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Note: if you checked Essence on the Preference Panel, some of the items are hidden.

Specification Link Panel

This panel inherits from the Registry Object Panel. See Registry Object Panel for more information. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Service binding: This is the parent ServiceBinding for this SpecificationLink.

Specification object: This is the specification object for this object.

Usage description: This is the description of usage parameters.

Usage parameters: This is usage parameters. A usage parameter is an arbitrary String that describes how to use the technical specification accessed via this SpecificationLink. Each parameter is a String.

Consume: Displays the Webservice Object Panel for consuming this Web Service.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Note: if you checked Essence on the Preference Panel, some of the items are hidden.

Structured Query Panel

This panel allows you to specify structured search criteria and start search.

Target: This is the target type of record.

Finder qualifier: This is a Summary box showing all specified Finder Qualifiers. This is a Collection of find qualifiers. They specify qualifiers that affect string matching, sorting, boolean predicate logic, and the like. The detail button on the right displays Finder Qualifier Panel. Note: if a term is not specified, the registry will use its default setting.

Name pattern: This is a Summary box showing all specified Name Patterns. This is a Collection that may consist of either String or Localized String objects. Each String or value within a Localized String is a partial or full name pattern with wildcard searching as specified by the SQL-92 LIKE specification. Unless otherwise specified in Find Qualifiers, this is a logical OR, and a match on any name qualifies as a match for this criterion. The detail button on the right displays Name Pattern List Panel.

Classification: This is a Summary box showing all specified classifications. It is analogous to a Category Bag in the UDDI specification. Unless otherwise specified in Find Qualifiers, this is a logical AND, and a match on all specified Classifications qualifies as a match for this criterion. The detail button on the right displays Classification Criterion List Panel.

Search: Searches the registry and displays result on Workspace Panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Summary box

The Summary box is a GUI component showing a list of items.

There is a button on the right. The button is the detail button, with a pair of glasses icon on it. When the detail button is clicked, a list panel will be displayed. The list panel will allow you to work on the detail of the list.

Taxonomy Panel

This panel allows you to select taxonomy for your classification. It provides a GUI taxonomy tree.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel. It also remembers the state of the tree, so next when it opens, it restores the state.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Telephone Number List Panel

This panel inherits from the Object List Panel. See Object List Panel for more information.

Telephone Number Panel

This panel allows you to specify data for Telephone Numbers. Not all registry providers or JAXR packages support all attributes. So, only related, supported attributes will be visible.

Country code: The code for the country.

Area code: The area code.

Number: The telephone number.

Extension: The extension number.

Type: The type of this telephone number.

URL: The URL that can dial this number electronically.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Url Panel

This panel allows you to specify URL.

URL: The URL.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

User Panel

This panel allows you to specify data for the User.

Email addresses: The email addresses for this User.

Organization: The organization that this User is affiliated with.

Person name: The name of this user.

Postal addresses: The postal address for the user.

Telephone numbers: The telephone number for the user.

Type: The type of the user.

URL: The URL to the web page for this User.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

User Type Panel

This panel allows you to specify user type.

Type: The user type.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Validate URI Panel

This panel allows you to specify a value.

Validate URI: Indicates whether to do URI validation for this object..

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Value Panel

This panel allows you to specify value.

Value: The value.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Value Type Panel

This panel allows you to specify value type.

Value type: The value type.

Ok: Accepts the data and closes this panel.

Cancel: Closes this panel without doing anything.

Webservice Object Panel

This panel allows you to specify information for consuming Web Service.

Name: The name of this Webservice object. Any name you like. This will not affect the invocation.

WSDL location: The URL for the WSDL.

WSDL timeout: The timeout for reading the WSDL, in seconds.

Service: The target service. The WSDL may provide more than one services.

Port: The target port. There may be multiple ports for the target service.

Operation name: The target operation name. There may be multiple operation for the target port.

Operation timeout: The timeout for invoking the operation in seconds.

User name: The user name for access the operation.

Password: The password for the user.

Invoke one way: Check this if you want the invocation is a one way invocation. Otherwise, the invocation will be blocked until the invocation returns.

The Input section is for input parameters.

Input type: Keyboard: Select this if you want use your keyboard to input arguments. If any argument is not a Simple data type, this is disabled.

Input type: Dynamic argument: Select this if you want use DynamicArgument to input arguments.

Properties: Displays the Properties Panel for specifying additional properties for the invocation.

Invoke: Calls this Web Service using data specified on this panel.

Export: Saves data on this panel to a file. The file can be opened later or imported by SuperScheduler and SuperWatchdog.

Close: Closes this panel.

Workspace Panel

This panel is a workspace for search.

This is a JInternalFrame: you can open as many Workspace Panels as you like, to work on different registries or different search criteria.

The menu bar is on the top. There are two groups of menu items, separated by a wider space. The first group of menu items is for selected records. The second group is for the panel. The menu bar contains the following menus:

Detail: Displays a panel for selected records. The type of the panel will depends on the type of record.

Bookmark: Bookmarks selected records into favorite collections. If the corresponding Favorite Panel is open, the selected records will be added into the open panel. If the

Delete:  Deletes the selected records from this workspace. It will not affect records on other workspace, nor in the registry.

Search: Displays search menu. The search menu contains a stack of search facilities. The further you down the stack, the more powerful the search is, the further you up the stack, the more user friendly the search is. The selected menu item will display a query panel. The search begins after you specify search criteria in the query panel. The result of the search will show on this panel. The search facilities are:

Close: Closes this panel and remember the layout and size of this panel, so next time this panel will be in the layout and size remembered.

 


Appendix A: Brief information about SQL database LIKE search

SQL LIKE search is full name pattern search with wildcard searching as specified by the SQL-92 LIKE specification. Wildcard % is for zero or more character matches, while _ is for any one character match. For example, %abc matches any thing ending with abc. %abc% matches any string containing abc. _abc matches any string whose length is four and ending with abc. Please see your SQL database document for more information.
