Java EE (Java Enterprise Edition) is the new name for the Java platform. But J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) is still widely used. In this document J2EE and Java EE are interchangeable.
Welcome to SuperStress!
SuperStress is based on EasyEJB technology. Please get yourself familiar with EasyEJB before doing this tutorial. The PeekPoke Tutorial is a good place to start.
By the way, you can press the F1 key to access context sensitive help system from any window throughout the whole program.
1. Go to the main menu. Click on Module > SuperStress > New to open a new Stress Panel.
3. The Name stress Panel appears for you to name the Stress Panel. Let's type "ExampleStress" and click Ok button.
4. The Stress Panel is based on Peek Panel. There is one more button: the Launch button, on the top.
5. Let's add a test item by press the Add button. Add Stress Panel appears. The Add Stress Panel is similar with Add Peek Panel. The main difference is that the Add Stress Panel has both Peek-able and Poke-able methods.
Select create( ) in the EJB instance list box and getNextNumber( ) in the Remote method list box, by highlighting them. Type "Casino.getNextNumber" in the Item name field and click the Ok button.
6. A new test item is added on the Stress Panel. The Value keeps changing. This is a rehearsal. It is just like Peeking.
7. Let's click on the Launch button to
launch a real test.
Note: The rehearsal has to be stopped first when your launch. If you do not click the Stop button to launch, SuperStress will show a confirmation window to ask for. Click on the Yes button.
8. We have added a new stress item, click the Yes button to save the changes. .
9. A FileChooser window appears. Let's type a name "exampleTest" and save it.
10. Now, you see the Stress Launch Panel. This is a simple tutorial, let's use all default values. The only thing we need to type in is the description. Type in "Stress Test" and click the Run button.
11. An External running Panel appears.
12. When the test is done, we come back to the Stress Launch Panel. Now, the Report button is enabled. Click it to get the report.
13. The Stress report Panel appears.
