EasyWebservice Tutorial

Welcome to EasyWebservice!

You can call Web Services without programming! Your keyboard is necessary only when you want to input argument data.

See EasyWebservice Overview about general information.

By the way, you can press the F1 key to access context sensitive help system from any window throughout the whole program.

Now, let's start our tutorial for EasyWebservice.

A WSDL document is all you need to call a Web Service using EasyWebservice. There are two ways to provide the location of the WSDL:

Either way, you will come back here with the opened Webservice Object Panel.

1. The Webservice Object Panel is open.

Let's change the name to be "example":

The WSDL location is the URL. The Service lists all services in the WSDL. The Port lists all ports for that service. The Operation name lists all operations for that port.

This example web service contains only one service, one port and one operation. The operation requires only one argument.

The input section lists all required arguments with names and data types. When you select different operation, the input section will change accordingly.

3. Let's key in "Hello" as the argument for TheText:

4. Let's click on the button Invoke. After a couple seconds, a window pops up to show the result:

We called a Web Service! It is so simple.

5. Now, let's click on the Ok button to close the window for return value and come back to the Webservice Object Panel. Let's click on the Export button.

A file named as "example.webservice" is saved under webservice directory of Super home directory.

6. The exported file can be open from the main menu Module > EasyWebservice > Open webservice:

7. The exported file can be imported by SuperScheduler and SuperWatchdog. See SuperScheduler Tutorial for more information.

This is our EasyWebservice tutorial. You can get more information from EasyWebservice.
